Recipe 1: Meatloaf

List of Ingredients:
• 1 ½ pound lean beef (ground
• 1 egg
• 1 cup low fat (1%) milk
• 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat)
• 1 onion (chopped)
• ½ cup parsley (chopped)
• 1 carrot (grated)
• 1 tbsp. sugar (brown)
• 2 tbsp. mustard
• 1/3 cup ketchup
• Salt and pepper (to taste)
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
3. Mix beef, onion, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, carrot, and parsley.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Put the mixture in the pan.
6. Stir sugar, ketchup, and mustard together and pour over the meatloaf.
7. Bake in the oven for about an hour (a thermometer inserted in the center should read 160°F).
