Ingredients:
All-purpose flour, leveled 1 3/4 cups
Poppy seeds 1 tablespoo
Baking powder 2 teaspoons
Unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 1/4 cups
Lemons, zest grated 3
Eggs 3
Lemon juice 1/2 cup
Milk 1/4 cup
For Glaze:
Icing sugar 1 cup
Lemon juice 2 tablespoo
Directions:
1. Set oven to 350 degrees F and let preheat, then take a 4 by 10-inch loaf pan, then
grease it with butter and line with parchment sheet.
2. Place flour in a bowl, add baking powder and poppy seeds and stir until combined.
3. Place butter in another bowl, add sugar and zest, beat until creamy, then beat in eggs
until smooth and add into the flour mixture.
4. Pour in milk and lemon juice, stir until incorporated, spoon the batter into the pan and
bake the bread for 60 minutes until inserted skewer into the bread comes out clean
and the top is nicely golden brown.
5. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze and for this, place sugar in a bowl, add lemon juice and
whisk until smooth.
6. When done, take out bread from the pan, let it cool for 10 minutes, then top with
prepared glaze and slice to serve.
