Cornbread with Chives

Ingredients:
Cornmeal, grinded 2 cups
Salt 1 teaspoon
Baking powder 1/2 teaspoo
Chopped chives 2 tablespoo
Olive oil 1 tablespoo
Unsalted butter, soften 1/2 cup
Egg 1
Baking soda 1/2 teaspoo
Buttermilk 1 1/2 cups
Directions:
1. Set oven to 450 degrees F, place a skillet on the baking rack and let preheat.
2. Meanwhile, place cornmeal in a bowl, add salt, baking powder, and soda and stir until
combined.
3. Crack the egg in another bowl, pour in the milk, whisk until blended, then add into
the flour mixture. Stir it until incorporated. Then fold in chives until mixed.
4. Remove skillet from the oven, grease with oil, then spoon the batter into the pan,
spread it evenly and bake for 15 minutes or until inserted skewer into the bread comes
out clean, and the top is nicely golden brown.
5. When done, take out bread from the pan and let it cool for 10 minutes.
6. Spread butter on top of bread, sprinkle with chives and slice to serve.
